Poles Apart – Book Design & Illustration

Poles Apart is a contemplative publication of Poland’s recent past told through eye-witness accounts, which I both illustrated and designed. Charcoal and ink were used to reconstruct wartime narratives centered on loss, memory and childhood. The book is a small memorial to the collective experiences of the interviewees featured in the book.
