My Family Vanitas – Art Direction

Being third-generation Polish I have had an interest in my grandparent’s journey and arrival to England from a young age. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of sitting at my grandmother’s breakfast table and listening to her stories of travel and exile across strange, distant landscapes. Part of a larger identity quest, these images document ephemera that marked seminal moments in their lives. With my last remaining grandparent passing away in May of 2023, I hope to share their stories with others as they once did with me.
